How Am I Supposed To Feel About Carlos Rodon's Injury?

Image
I don't know what I'm supposed to do here. On Friday afternoon, hours before he was scheduled to make his second start of the spring, the White Sox announced that Carlos Rodon had been scratched due to tightness in his upper left biceps. Am I supposed to freak out about this? Honestly, I feel like I'm supposed to freak out about this.

Jose Quintana is still here. This isn't news to you. It's not news to anybody. At the same time, it is news.

What You Need To Know About The Tim Anderson Extension

Image
Tim Anderson woke up this morning with more money than he had yesterday. Scott Merkin first tweeted about the possibility of Anderson and the White Sox agreeing to an extension on Monday evening, and then on Tuesday morning multiple reports from Ken Rosenthal and Bob Nightengale saying it's a six-year deal worth $25 million . There are also two option years at the end of the deal that could bring the total value of the deal to $50.5 million, which would basically double the value of the deal (you can see the breakdown by year here ). So what do you need to know about the extension? Let's work it out together.

Amateur Scouting: Thoughts On Reynaldo Lopez

Image
I've been hearing good things about Reynaldo Lopez all spring, but up until this afternoon, I hadn't had a chance to sit down and really watch him. He'd had at least one start earlier this spring in a game that was being streamed on WhiteSox.com, but anybody who has watched a spring training live stream on the team's website knows just how lackluster that viewing experience can be. Today's game was televised in wonderful HD on my 55-inch television, however, and that gave me a much better chance to sit down and watch Lopez' start against the Giants. Now, I am not a scout, but I'm not a total novice, either. These are my thoughts on what I saw from Lopez on Monday.
